New Carpet, New Start

Hi friends! As many of you know by now I moved back to North Carolina a couple weeks ago. What many of you don’t know is the why. I was sexually assaulted in my apartment by a man I’d been on a date with. Since then, life has been a mess. I greatly underestimated the effect this would have on me and my mental health. I’ve spent time in a residential psychiatric facility (during which my papaw Jack died from brain cancer) as well as an intensive outpatient program 20 hours a week trying to heal from this. During those times my job was super supportive but I did not qualify for short term disability due to a pre-existing clause. So i took a few weeks with no pay that has hurt me a lot financially. Things have been really hard on all fronts. I moved back to NC under a lot of financial stress. I am going to be in a single wide trailer that my papaw used to rent out. However, I’ve hit a snag, the trailer flooded and water heater had to be replaced suddenly to the tune of about 2k. I am asking for help from my community for the funds to get some carpet and have it installed so i can get moved in. The trailer itself is <600 sq feet so I anticipate the biggest cost being getting it installed. My dad passed away a couple years ago and my stepdad is facing some health problems of his own and I don’t have anyone else to ask to help. Right now I’m living and working out of my bags in a pretty cramped space. If you have a few dollars to spare (I know money is tight for everyone right now) i would greatly appreciate it. If not, totally understand and just asking for good vibes to get this done so I can get moved in and settled.
