Fighting Cancer "Again" - Keldee Needs Our Prayers & Support

12/4/25 Update

Our dear Keldee is still fighting. She is now on palliative care and has got some real fight in her while also understanding the realities of what lies ahead. She is comforted and guided by her faith and trusts God with each new day, finding peace in His presence.
We all hope for her to enjoy each new day with as little financial burden as possible. If you would like to help, please consider a monthly donation, which helps provide stable, ongoing support and is a meaningful way to stand by her. Keldee is one of us single gals and has a very loving but limited support system. She does not have a caretaker, or any other financial support and is having to handle the entire burden of all of this on her own. I bring this up because I hope that we can complete that circle of support in any way we are able.

With Love and Appreciation,

Andrea Deaton

An update from Keldee in her own words:

Since updates are not seen on the main summary page of my GoFundMe, I thought it would be helpful to add a current update/overview of my situation, being that it has changed quite a bit:

This is my second battle with cancer, having gone through stage 3 endometrial cancer that had spread to my uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and a few lymph nodes. I went through a radical complete hysterectomy, with some nodes also being removed, in addition to having 3 rounds of radiation and 6 rounds of chemo. It was a very difficult journey, but in May of 2022 my scans showed no evidence of disease and so far, that cancer has not returned.

Currently, I am battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, which was initially diagnosed at the beginning of this year. I have 2 types of breast cancer, both are ductal carcinoma; the first being estrogen and progesterone positive (in the left breast) and the other being triple negative (in the right breast), which is a very aggressive type of cancer and the one they believe has metastasized. Originally, before they had the first PET scan, their plan was to operate and follow-up with some chemo. However, since the scans showed that the cancer had metastasized to the lymph nodes under arm, in my neck and lung/chest area as of the last scans in September, the plan has changed and no longer includes surgery.

My Oncologist said that we are looking at treatment only now, and not a cure. She had said back in May of this year, that without treatment I could have less than a year, and with treatment it could be 1-3+ years. So, she said the treatment I’m currently on, is to keep the cancer from spreading as much and long as possible, in order to give me more time.

However, with that all being said - I believe and know, that I will have as much time as God allows, here on earth and I’m so very thankful for everyday and for the continued strength, courage, peace, joy and hope, He gives me!

Currently, there are not many treatment options for the type of cancer I have. This limits me to very few options of chemo drugs, which some have already been eliminated due to reactions, etc. I'm currently on Sacituzumab Govitecan (Trodelvy), which is an antibody-drug conjugate that works by targeting and delivering a chemotherapy drug directly to cancer cells, minimizing damage to healthy cells. When/if we see any further spread/progression of disease, my oncologist said I would have to switch to another chemo drug that she mentioned, so we just have to see how things go... My next scan will be around the 22nd of December, which should show whether there has been any further spread, or not. My treatments are ongoing and on 3 Wednesdays out of a month, two in a row, with a week break and then again. Of course this has come with a barrage of side effects, reactions, pain, exhaustion and many others about which I’ll spare you the details. In addition, they now have me on palliative care, to help manage medications and pain.

I am so thankful and humbled for all the love and support I have received. Your love and encouragement has been so uplifting for me, and your financial support has made an impossible situation possible. My treatments will be ongoing with continuing infusion, doctors, imaging, medicines, transportation, medical supplies, etc.

So, I wanted to add a monthly donation option for those of you that might want to help with these types of expenses. Every little bit helps and means so much to me! These include infusions, medications, imaging, co-pays, separate doctors fees, special wound-care supplies, transportation to appointments, nutritional needs, comfort items during treatment, and other related expenses that no one prepares you for.

I’m staying strong, but these ongoing costs are overwhelming.
If you feel moved to support me, GoFundMe now offers a monthly donation option. Even a small amount — $5, $10, or $20 a month — makes a meaningful difference because it provides steady support I can count on during treatment.

“If today you have a warm bed to sleep in, food on the table, fresh air to breathe, hope in your heart and some people who love you; then be grateful, for you are truly blessed!

Thank you all so very much for your continued prayers, love and support!

Have a blessed week!

HELP LIFT KELDEE UP WITH OUR PRAYERS, SUPPORT, HOPE AND LOVE!

Life has thrown an unimaginable challenge at our dear friend Keldee, and now it's our turn to stand by her, just as she has done for so many. After recently, bravely battling endometrial cancer, she now faces STAGE 4 - MESTASTATIC VERY AGGRESSIVE "TRIPLE NEGATIVE" BREAST CANCER. Keldee is not just a remarkable West Coast Swing champion —she is a mother, a friend, and a light in the lives of everyone who knows her. Her resilience and spirit have already carried her through one battle with cancer, and now, as she faces this fight for a second time, we want to make sure she doesn’t have to do it alone.

Medical treatments, time away from home and friends, and the countless expenses that come with this journey are overwhelming, and that’s where we come in. Keldee has spent her life lifting others with her passion, kindness, and undeniable strength. Now, it’s our turn to lift her. Every contribution—big or small—will help ease her burden, allowing her to focus on healing and being with the people she loves most.

Beyond financial support, we know the power of faith, love, and community. Prayers are deeply welcomed and appreciated—whether you hold her in your thoughts, send her strength, or lift her name in prayer, every bit of love and positivity matters. Let’s come together as family, friends, a dance community and community in general, to show Keldee just how much she means to us.

Below is a message from Keldee with a brief explanation of what is now happening in her cancer journey.

~ A Message From Keldee ~

From ENDOMETRIAL CANCER in 2022 and now fighting STAGE 4 - MESTASTATIC VERY AGGRESSIVE "TRIPLE NEGATIVE" BREAST CANCER.

As many of you may know, I was diagnosed at the end of 2021 with stage III endometrial cancer. I underwent major surgery in December, followed by chemotherapy and radiation treatments in 2022. In May of 2022, my tests showed no evidence of disease. Although I am still under observation for at least a couple more years for that cancer, I recently received a different cancer diagnosis.

In December of last year, I had my regularly scheduled mammogram and was called back for further diagnostic testing and an ultrasound in January. At that time, I was informed that I had a mass in each breast and would need a biopsy on both, which I underwent on February 18th. I then received the call confirming that both masses were diagnosed as “invasive ductal carcinoma.” However, it turns out that they are each a completely different type of cancer, as explained below.

I was then scheduled for an appointment with my oncologic surgeon at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she examined me and reviewed the available information. She explained that after I complete additional tests--including a brain MRI, breast MRI, and bone scan--around the 17th-19th of this month, we will have a clearer picture of the situation. These tests will determine whether anything else is present and if there has been any metastasis. After meeting with the medical oncologist on the 20th, we should have a better understanding of my treatment plan. However, it is likely that I will need, at a minimum, additional chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and other drug treatments.

  • THE BELOW IS NOW STAGE 4 - MESTASTATIC, VERY AGGRESSIVE "TRIPLE NEGATIVE" BREAST CANCER

From all the research I’ve done so far, it appears that this cancer journey may be even more challenging than my last. My doctor also explained that the tumor in my left breast is smaller and less aggressive, whereas the tumor in my right breast is larger and of the most aggressive type.

Right Breast:

Cancer type - Triple Negative (more aggressive growth and treatment)
Grade 3 – most aggressive type
Stage 2 – this is the how large the tumor is, or how much it has spread (however we don’t have all the tests done and back yet to know for sure)

Left Breast:
Cancer type – 100% Estrogen Receptor, 95% Progesterone Receptor and Her2 –
Negative
Grade 2 – intermediate aggressive type
Stage 1 – this is how large the tumor is, or how much it has spread (however we don’t have all the tests done and back yet to know for sure)

I will do my best to give updates going forward as much as possible. As I mentioned above, this journey is going to be another tough one, and I will be looking at a lot of travel expenses and unforeseen medical expenses i.e., (doctors/hospital-surgeries/labs/diagnostic testing/infusion fees, medicines, supplies, co-pays, etc).
I am humbly asking for any support you can give - whether it’s a donation, your prayers, or kind words of encouragement, as I navigate through this incredibly difficult time. I don’t know what the total cost I will be facing at this point, since this is only the beginning of this journey. However, anything you can give helps tremendously. Your support is greatly appreciated and will help to ease the burden I am now facing, bringing me one step closer to my healing and recovery.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity. I pray that as I am blessed by your gift, you will be abundantly blessed by your giving!

Love,
Keldee
