New Building for the Humane Society
Tax deductible
The Humane Society for Animals is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides for the welfare of dogs and cats in Benton County through shelter and adoption services, spaying and neutering vouchers, and humane education.
The Humane Society for Animals has held over 90,000 animals since it originally opened in 1972. Our facility at 1st and Nursery Rd. was built in 1980 and continuously houses a total of around 85 dogs and 20 cats. Most of our cats and dogs are strays that have been dumped or abandoned. Others come from local animal control agencies and from people who can no longer care for them. We offer the public numerous opportunities either to donate or get involved.
What We Need
We are in dire need of new facilities to be able to better care for the animals we care for and meet the growing demand for providing services. We need $20,000 for a new building.
No Federal or State Funding
We receive no federal or state funding, nor are we associated with any national organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA. We rely solely on service fees and donations from the public to enable us to offer vital services such as animal rescue and critical care for homeless, abandoned, abused, sick, and neglected animals. We also offer pet education seminars and lectures at area schools and community organizations.
By making a contribution today, you are helping to save the lives of abandoned animals in our community. Your gift has a direct impact on the animals in our care.
On behalf of the thousands of neglected, abused and homeless animals that need our help, we thank you for your support.
