New Brighton’s street art is more than paint on walls — it’s the soul of our town. It tells our stories, celebrates our heritage, and brings colour and creativity into everyday life. Over the past decade, the Victoria Quarter mural trail has become a landmark for visitors and a source of pride for locals.
But murals don’t last forever. Weather, time, and neglect mean some of our most iconic artworks are fading, cracked, or at risk of disappearing. If we lose them, we lose part of New Brighton’s identity.
That’s why New Brighton Creative Futures CIC is raising funds not only to preserve and restore the murals we already love, but also to commission brand new artworks and expand the mural trail across our town. Every pound donated will go directly towards:
- Restoration – repairing and protecting existing murals from further damage.
- New commissions – funding fresh artworks by talented artists, keeping the trail evolving and inspiring.
- Expansion – growing the trail so more streets, corners, and walls are brought to life.
- Materials & protection – high-quality paints and protective coatings to ensure longevity.
- Artist support – paying fair fees to the artists who keep our streets alive with creativity.
- Community involvement – workshops and events that connect local people with the art on their doorstep.
This is about more than saving paint on walls. It’s about growing a cultural landmark, keeping New Brighton vibrant, inspiring, and welcoming for future generations.
