New Bookcases for Urban's Library
The library is the heart of a school. It provides students and staff a place to learn, collaborate, and grow using a multitude of print and digital materials.
Urban's library services 700 students and staff on a regular basis. Together we explore and discuss everything from online safety to igniting a passion for reading. From the dreamer escaping into a good book to the group of student ready to collaborate, it is important that the library is a safe and welcoming space.
Urban's library currently has 26 bookcases that house our fiction books. These bookcases are over 40 years old, are falling apart, and have survived 3 floods. We hope to raise enough money to replace these 26 bookcases with new, sturdy, bookcases.
