My name is Suha Baloushah, living in Gaza Strip with my extended family who are my old aged mother with multiple chronic disease and my brother Ahmed who is working as engineer and he is married and have six children, and I’m reaching out with a humble heart and hope for a fresh start. A few two year of conflict, our lives changed forever when war of Gaza started and destroyed our home. In a matter of hours, everything we built — the walls that held our memories, laughter, and love — was gone.

We lost more than just a building. We lost our sense of security, our family’s gathering place, and many of the things that can never be replaced. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, we now face the overwhelming challenge of starting over from nothing.

Right now, we’re staying in tent in shelter, trying to piece together what comes next. Insurance has covered only a small portion of the damage, and the cost of rebuilding — along with replacing essentials like furniture, clothes, and daily needs — has become more than we can manage on our own.
