New beginning for someone I love very much
This not an easy task or story to tell. I’m not one to ask for help often but when it comes to those I love, I will do whatever it takes to help them.
One of my best friends has recently learned that they have periodontal disease. While we knew there were dental issues going on, we had no idea how severe they were. I need to help make this happen so they can live a happy life; smiling, laughing and even giving someone a kiss without embarrassment.
The jawbone has started to deteriorate, teeth have started shifting and some are ready to crumble. My friend can’t eat without pain. They haven’t truly smiled in years. They avoid social situations due to the embarrassment they feel. Confidence and self-esteem are dwindling away. Nobody should have to live this way, especially when they have so much love and laughter to give to everyone they meet!
I need your help in giving one of the most charismatic people I’ve ever known the ability to eat without pain, smile without shame and get back to the happy, funny person they once were. Every dollar will help. Please help me get my person back!
The initial consult gave two options; try to salvage approximately 12 teeth and use implants for the rest or remove all teeth, start fresh with a full set of implants. Both options are very expensive but will provide the best results. I, along with friends and family will give what we can, take out loans to help but it still won’t be enough so I’m here pleading for help from everyone I know or even those I don’t know. We will be getting a second and maybe even a third consult but in the end the goal I’ve set would still only put a dent in the total cost to restore their beautiful smile.
I’m not sharing the name of this dear friend to avoid adding any additional shame or embarrassment for them but I can’t stand by and watch them go through anymore pain and watch them hide themselves any longer. The world needs them and so do I!
I appreciate you taking the time to read this, even if you can’t donate, please feel free to share this to anyone you know.
