The original purpose of this GoFundMe was to raise funds for a special bed to help reduce my wife's chronic pain.  Thanks to those who donated, we accomplished this goal.  However, my wife is disabled, chronically ill and suffers from chronic pain.  I stay home as her caretaker.  Medicare does not cover all of the costs of her medications, some of which are quite expensive.  I am leaving this GoFundMe account up for any who wish to make future donations to help us financially.  (The original purpose of this GoFundMe is described below, the original title of this GoFundMe was "New Bed to Reduce my Wife's Pain".) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My name is James Scott Trimm and I am fundraising for my wife Ingrid "Kitty" Trimm. My wife is disabled, chronically ill and suffers from Chronic pain. My wife has had more than six abdominal surgeries. Since her 2018 hospitalization of 53 days and septic shock (the picture above, is from that life changing hospitalization), she has never been the same. While the abdominal surgeries saved her life, they left her with internal webs of scar tissue in her abdomen as well as inoperable abdominal hernias and a condition known as "hostile abdomen". We discovered recently, while visiting a relative, that her pain is made worse as a result of lack of support for her abdomen from our 20 year old soft bed. We need your help now because the bed she needs to reduce her pain is on sale for $3,645 until September 13th, 2021, after which the price goes up by over $500, and will be out of reach.  (The GoFundMe goal is a little above that amount, to account for fees of various types).
