New barn for 313 Farms

Athlone school along with 313 farms would like to honour the passing of Benny the Alpaca. Benny was a big part of our learning and growing the past 2 years. He was our covid relief and brought so much joy to our staff and student. We also acknowledge the passing of other friends on the farm. We want to turn our heartbreak into love and support. This winter the living conditions were harsh and with the many temperature changed the alpacas struggled. They need a barn that allows them to live in a more consistent environment.

 

During covid lockdown Benny the alpaca walked the streets of Winnipeg bringing so much joy to all. Benny has been seen at weddings, anniversaries, and birthday parties. He was so loved! 313 farms in a non profit farm that only accepted donations. Go check out their Facebook page! I was unable to register them for a lottery license because they are not registered. Why??? The cost of becomimg a non profit organization is more then $2000! All their money goes back into feeding and caring for their alpacas.
