New Band Hall

Shaftesbury Town Silver Band started in 1869 and are still going strong today.

For this reason, we are looking to build a New Band Hall, on our current site which will last at least the next 100 years.

Our current hall was built in 1973 and was due to last 25 years. This hall is constructed from materials, which means we have high energy costs due to poor insulation and is rapidly becoming unsuitable for its original purpose.

We are fortunate to be expanding in player numbers however, we have reached capacity in our current hall and when we have our musical equipment out also, there isn't room for everyone.

A new hall on the current site, with a slightly larger footprint, will keep our identity and allow the band's continued growth, especially as members from our Training Band progress through.
