As-salāmu ʿAlaykum Wa-Raḥmatu Llāhi Wa-Barakātuhu
سَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ اَللهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ

The people of Albreda village in the Upper Nuimi District of the Gambia have embarked on a new Mosque project in the village. 

This project was necessitated by some of the structural deficiencies and challenges facing the current Mosque. The Mosque was built over two decades ago through the financial support and collaborative efforts of the community elders and those resident in the village. However, because the Mosque was built without adequate funds at the time, combined with the absence of sound technical and structural expertise, it has over the years developed some structural issues ranging from roof leaks, cracks, damps and material decay, and thus, following the advise of a structural engineer, the Mosque's committee and the villagers have agreed to start a new Mosque, and already the contractors have started work on the foundation of this new Mosque.

As we will all appreciate, this is not an easy task, as it is a project that requires a lot of funds, and in this light, and on behalf of the Mosque committee and the people of Albreda, we are hereby soliciting your generous donations from to help towards the funding of this Mosque.

Remember - contributing to the building of a Mosque is regarded among the righteous deeds. It is narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever builds a Mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for the person a house in Jannah (Paradise)." And again building Mosques is considered as an act of lasting charity (Sadaqatul Jariyah). May Allah SWT accept your kind donations as one and reward you abundantly in this Duniya and the Akir.
