New Afghan Refugee Family in Urgent Need of Support
Donation protected
A newly arrived refugee family in our community is in critical need of assistance. They are a family of five—two parents and three young elementary school children—who fled Afghanistan when the Taliban took over. After spending three difficult years in Pakistan without aid, they were granted visas through the U.S. Lottery system and now hold green cards, allowing them to work.
The husband, a highly educated Human Resources professional, played a vital role in U.S. government reform efforts in Afghanistan. Despite his skills and experience, he is currently looking for any available job, including positions in restaurants or retail stores. He speaks English, Farsi, Urdu, and Pashto.
My wife has been volunteering as an English teacher for refugees for the past six years, and this is one of the families she works with. I volunteer on the Board of Directors at the Ruth Bancroft Garden. We deeply appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

Note: The funds are going directly to the family to cover their expenses including rent, food, clothing, transportation and other needs.
