New Activity Center

Hello, I'm John Sines Jr - Senior Pastor of Rock Pike Baptist Church in Forest, Virginia.

 

When COVID became our reality in March 2020, our church implemented "Parking Lot Church" the following week & for the next 14 weeks - that's how we had church.

 

Doing our best to still gather to worship GOD, but also trying to be part of the solution as we cooperated with authorities, we navigated through the pandemic with uncertainty - just like everyone else.

 

Little did we know, a neighbor would be watching.

 

After observing our faithfulness, the neighbor decided to donate 30 acres of land located directly across the street from our 1 acre lot.

 

This gifting of land moved our ministry forward dramatically & gives us a greater opportunity to share the love of JESUS with those in our community.

 

Our first phase will include an "Activity Center" that will provide a facility that can be used for not only Morning Worship Services, but also special events such as fellowship meals, concerts & a future private school - "Rock Pike Christian Academy" - but also more importantly, to be ready to minister to those in need when the time comes.

 

Currently, we have hired a site planner, an architect & plans have been completed, submitted to our county & approval - now we are working toward our land disturbance permit.

 

Between the sight work improvements, sediment pond & the new addition, it's estimated that this project is going to cost approximated $3,000,000.

 

We've trusted GOD to provide for us this far & we believe that GOD is going to provide the funds in HIS divine way - just as HE provided the land.

 

Proverbs 3:5-6 says "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
