Neville needs some help..

This is my son, Neville.
He turned 2 in March 2025, and anyone who has met him, knows he is the sweetest most loving (and loved) pup to ever grace this earth. They will also know that he is my best friend, and my life pretty much revolves around him.
Last week, Neville went into respiratory distress. He stopped eating and drinking, he stopped playing or running around. After a week of investigations, he was diagnosed with a spontaneous pneumothorax (basically his lung had collapsed without reason).
He has been in doggy hospital for the last 5 days and had to have a sternotomy on Thursday to try to fix the leak. Unfortunately on completing the surgery, they still couldn't find the leak that was leading to his chest walls filling up with air.
The current cost of vet bills is around £12,500 with the insurance only covering £7000. We have used all our savings and it's still not touching them. If he requires further surgery, which is very likely given they haven't been able to fix it, we just can't afford it.
I am not the sort of person to ask others for money. It's not my vibe and I feel very uncomfortable doing it. But he is my son and he just a baby, and he deserves more years of running on the beach and doing zoomies and continuing to bring joy to anyone who meets him.
I have no expectations for others to help, and I know the current climate is hard on everyone. But it's worth a shot if it helps save my boy and gives us flexibility for further treatment.
I appreciate any help that can be offered, but also understand if you can't ❤️
