Hi, my name is Nevie, I am 16 years old and earlier this year I was diagnosed with a life limiting brain tumour.

To give myself some focus I have decided to raise both funds and awareness. Brain Cancer is the biggest cancer killer of people under 40 in the UK, but only receives 1% of government funding. My tumour is classed as rare, only 30 kids in the UK are diagnosed each year, but I am the 2nd girl in my village in 4 years with this tumour. We were even at high school together.

One third of the money raised will go to Abbie's Army (https://www.abbiesarmy.co.uk/) which is a charity which funds research into my tumour.

The second third of the money raised will go to Sophies Legacy (https://www.sophieslegacy.org.uk/) which is a local charity which supports parents and children in our local hospitals.

The final third will go to the fund I am setting up. I am 16 and still found wearing a mask, fixed to a table, in the dark, being left alone the scariest part of my treatment. I would like to provide care packages for Children starting radiotherapy which will include a special teddy for them to cuddle along with a fidget toy, a special (handmade by me) jumper for the teddy, etc and another package when they complete their treatment to celebrate their huge achievement.
