On Monday July, 23rd Santa Fe received massive rainstorms. The rain caused flooding throughout the city and county. My friend and coworker Jose (Humberto) Nevarez was sleeping, as he works early in the morning, when the storm got heavier. He woke up to a flood in his house. His daughter, Marisol, said that it was waist high and he had to jump out of the window. Her sister lives on the same property and they both escaped flooded homes. The family had five cars between them. Two cars are flooded and the other three are still missing. Today the family was out at their property checking to see exactly how much damage was done. My heart breaks for them, Mr. Nevarez is a very kind man. If you are able to make any donation I know the family will greatly appreciate it. Thank you all and God bless you!
