Hi, my name is Nevaeh Shaw. I am a senior graduating in December 2023 from the University of Missouri- Columbia. I am majoring in Nursing and this summer I have the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. I will be able to experience la dolce vita as I gain an in-depth understanding of how nurses around the world deal with ethical dilemmas. As a first-generation college student, I am already surpassing all odds as far as being a black female student in the nursing program here at Mizzou. Not only is this specific abroad program going to help meet my ethics requirement for nursing school but it will provide me with a unique educational experience beyond the grounds of Columbia, Missouri. This will truly be an experience of a lifetime and with your help, my dream of traveling overseas will come true and be used to further my academic career. Your donations will help cover my tuition, program fees, insurance and technology fees.
