Neveah’s Fight: Praying for a Miracle
Donation protected
Nevaeh is an 11 year old beautiful, vibrant, active young lady who enjoys school, dance, gymnastics, and swimming. She is truly a ray of sunshine! She has been lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Roger and Phyllis Parsons, since she was 20 months old. However, approximately 1 month ago, they received traumatic news that Nevaeh had a brain tumor and needed emergency surgery.
She underwent surgery to remove the tumor on her brain stem, and as of this post, she is in a state of semi-consciousness. She has barely spoken a word, cannot raise her arms or use her hands. Due to the pressure on the optic nerve, we are still unsure if she can see. Nevaeh can hear, and has occasionally giggled at funny comments.
As you can imagine, financial assistance is needed for many reasons. Her “Nana” has not left her side, and she is on unpaid leave from her job. Her “Poppy” continues to work but spends time with her daily. Between travel expenses, food, Nevaeh’s school tuition, common living expenses, and their income dropping to a single household income, their expenses are insurmountable.
They have not been given a prognosis of what her recovery may be. There are many unknowns, including Nevaeh’s recovery. Please know that any monetary gift will be used to take care of our precious Nevaeh, Roger, and Phyllis. Although there is a lot of uncertainty, one thing is certain, we serve an awesome God and miracles happen everyday. This little girl is SO loved...we’re praying for a miracle.
