Nevaeh & Trinity's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On Sunday, March 16, around 10 PM, my nieces Nevaeh and Trinity were in a rollover accident on an off-road side-by-side, resulting in serious injuries. Trinity was ejected from the vehicle, resulting in a TBI that forced her to go through a craniotomy, and Nevaeh rolled with the side-by-side, which landed on top of her, breaking both of her legs in multiple places. This has been followed by several major reconstructive surgeries and a significant amount of pain.
Nevaeh will be hospital-bound in Gainesville, enduring several more difficult reconstructive surgeries over the next weeks, along with multiple skin grafts needed as well, when the doctors think she is ready for them. She will be stuck in a bed for weeks before she can even begin the physical therapy process and essentially learn how to walk again. Trinity will have a less arduous healing journey but will still have to endure her own set of challenges.
These are 16 and 17-year-old girls who have not always had the easiest hand dealt to them in life, and now they’re forced to endure this. My family has gone back and forth with the idea of creating a fundraiser for my sister's family, and we don’t necessarily want to, but my sister and the girls will need the help.
Funds that are raised will be used for making my sister's house handicap accessible for when the girls can go home, transportation between Fort Myers and Gainesville, meals, counseling, and helping keep my sister's family afloat while she is forced to be out of work indefinitely so she can be with her daughters during their lengthy healing process.
