Hello everyone, My name is Megan and I am the auntie of Nevaeh and the sister of Danielle Jewell and Montie Fraser.
As many of you know Danielle & Montie are both self employed and following the loss of their precious daughter Nevaeh, the last thing I want them to do is worry about returning back to work right now and worrying about finding additional costs for their baby girls funeral No parent should have to plan a funeral for their child.
The Government kindly cover a standard funeral for no charge, but as a family we want Danielle and Montie to send off their babygirl as special as they choose without having to worry about the additional costs.
Nevaeh’s Story:
On the 28th April 2023, Dannielle was almost 14 days late on her period, this was not abnormal for Dani as she suffers from PCOS ( Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) but Danielle was having all the symptoms of pregnancy ( I knew it!)
So Danielle & Montie decided to take a pregnancy and they were pregnant for the first time after not being successful! It finally happened ( I sobbed my heart out)
Their first scan was on the 3rd May 2023 everything was perfect, They were 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant and the lady said Nevaeh had a strong heart beat
On the 12 week scan things didn’t go to plan they found fluid at the back of her neck that measured 9mm and fluid around the babies body. This indicated that baby had some kind of syndrome but they would need to have a needle test in the stomach to indicate more accurate. Dani and Montie was asked if they wanted to terminate but they kept the faith and prayed for a positive out come.
They went for private scans, more follow up appointments and every appointment they went to just followed more and more bad news.
Danielle and Montie were repeatedly told “This baby is going to die”, “You will not go past 16 weeks” but they didn’t give up on her
They decided to do more testing, and was told on 08/08/2023 that our beautiful little butterfly Neaveh has turner syndrome
Nevaeh also had a cystic hygroma at the back of her neck which was now measuring beyond the scan could see
She also had fluid around her heart, lungs and stomach and Nevaeh was very swollen from head to toe
Dani and Montie was told they had never seen a case as severe as Nevaeh’s and this was very very very rare.
Dani & montie decided to let Neaveh go when she decides it’s time, we was told so many stories that had a positive outcome we would always wonder what if…
Even after all the horrible conversations and results, we still had faith. We still hoped and prayed
Last Friday on 01/09/2023 at 11:30pm, I got a call from Danielle in floods and floods of tears. Our worst nightmare was happening, Danielle couldn’t find her heart beat. Danielle on a daily basis would check her heart beat for peace of mind and at 23 weeks and 5 days pregnant, Nevaeh decided it was time she needed to let go One thing I will say about my baby niece - she beat all the odds! She shocked consultants, doctors and everybody for how long she fought for
On Tuesday 05/09/2023, My amazing strong sister gave birth to her precious beautiful baby girl at 3:16am, Nevaeh weighed 1lb 6oz she was beautiful. She looked just like her Daddy with her Mummies chin
Montie was the most amazing birthing partner for Danielle, the pair of them together are something else- they are so strong and even in such a cruel and unexplainable situation they still manage to embrace every moment
No parent should ever have to bury their child and no one should feel like they have to go back to work just survive.
Danielle and Montie need each other right now and they need to grieve and heal. Our lives have forever changed and nothing will change that but if I can even make it 1% easier, that’s what I want to do for them both and I need all your support
even a £1, 50p anything will make a difference and I just want to thank you all in advance and thank you to every single person who has been on this journey with them. It does not go unnoticed and we appreciate absolutely everything. If it wasn’t for half of you guys I think we all could have easily crumbled.
More details for the funeral are to follow, and we will update everybody
Thank you all again in advance
R.I.P my beautiful Nevaeh. You was just too precious for this evil world and I am so lucky to have met you and to be your auntie xx
