Help us get Rosa neutered!
Donation protected
Hello Fellow Residents of Fern,
We are helping our neighbour, Stefania, to get her cat Rosa neutered and vaccinated.
Stefania, known for her kindness to animals, started feeding Rosa when he first showed up as a stray. She thought he was a girl, so she named him Rosa and the name stuck. If you live in the houses numbered from 120-160 on Fern or just regularly walk along this stretch, you will have seen Rosa. He is a handsome tabby. Stefania has kept him well fed and healthy.
Unfortunately, Stefania is on a fixed income and has not been able to get him his shots or get him neutered. As a result, Rosa has been spraying quite a bit, making our front and back porches inhospitable. There is also a concern that Rosa will find an unspayed female and we will have alleyway kittens to deal with.
We feel the time is now to get Rosa sorted out for everyone's wellbeing! We will do all the legwork, but cost is an issue.
The cheapest option we could find is the Jameson Queen Veterinary Clinic. All in, it will be $821 including taxes.
$625 for the first round of shots and neutering
$ 94 for the second round of shots
$102 for two doses of gabapentin for sedation on each of two visits
Stefania can contribute $100. Tamara and I can each do $200. So we are short $321 to get to this total.
Are you able to help? Maybe you have also had some problems with Rosa spraying or are just able to assist an older neighbour. If you can, please contribute here.
Thank you for any help you can provide!
