My boyfriend, of 3 years was rushed to Memorial Herman downtown, due to a brain tumor. They said that if he had waited to more weeks he would of died. They have removed most of tumor, but they could not remove all of it due to the fact that some of the tumor was, behind blood cells. He has also lost his vision and the optometrist won't even look at him due to the fact that he has no insurance. He has bleeding in the back of his eyes, which is causing the blindness. The next step we have to take is getting him another, MRI and radiation. If not the tumor will grow pretty quickly, plus also having to see the optometrist as well. We have talked to SSDI and hopefully we get approved for that and the gold card, but we have not had any luck in that department yet either...His medications are very expensive for me, plus the gas and the medical bills as, that I just can not afford. Also another huge expense is those glucose strips and lancets...all together right now his medical bills are over 300,000$. This is a very scary time in our life and if you need more info on the brain tumor or bleeding in the eyes or even just the bills I would be more than glad to show you. I am just asking my friends and family to help me out in any which way they can, even if it just donations...He can't even leave the house or dress himself. I definitely need those matts you put in the bath tub so he does not slip and fall.If you could donate anything, even if it is just a dollar it would mean the world to us..and please share this..it is a very scary time in our life right now.
