Neuro Class 2014’s Tribute to Sanjay Achal
The Bsc Neuroscience Class of 2014 from the University of Calgary is heartbroken by the news of our good friend and classmate Sanjay Achal’s passing. He passed away on July 31st 2021 after an ongoing battle with mental illness. He was 28 years old and was currently fulfilling his dream of studying medicine at the University of Calgary.
Sanjay was an extremely dedicated, intelligent, and talented guy with an infectious sense of humor and positive energy. His spirit shone so brightly in our class, and we are all grateful for the many moments that we got to share with him as classmates and friends during the 4 years of our studies. He impacted all of our lives, in ways both big and small, and we will always remember him as someone whose charisma and energy was so special, so captivating and warm, that he always stood out, filling any room with his uniqueness and joy. He was – and always will be – an undoubtedly essential member of our Neuro family, and we will carry his example and friendship within our hearts forever.
We have come together to pay tribute to him as a class and honour his memory. All donations raised by this Go Fund Me page will be made to the Calgary Distress Centre in Sanjay’s name per his family’s request.
May he rest in peace.
We will forever miss you, Sanjay.
From your Neuro family.
