From Lindey:
To every single one of you—
There aren’t enough words in the world to tell you what your love has meant to us these past days. The messages, the flowers, the meals made with love and dropped off, the hugs, the check ins’,the prayers, the texts we read through tears at 2am, the memories you’ve shared, the GoFundMe, the gift cards, the legos, the cards in the mailbox, the help around the house, the quiet “I’m here if you need me” that somehow held us up when we couldn’t stand—every single gesture has been felt so deeply.
We have been wrapped in a blanket of kindness we never knew was this big or this warm. You loved on us like family. That kind of love changes a person. It is changing us.
We are still walking through the thickest fog, and some days just breathing is the only thing we can manage. Please know that we see you, we feel you, and we are carrying every bit of this love with us. We will never forget it—and we will never forget you.
Thank you, from the very bottom of our shattered and somehow still-beating hearts. ❤️

Update on the Neudorff Family
As we can all agree, Lindey and Rick Neudorff are an incredible pair. Lindey is one of the most creative, loving, and positive souls I’ve ever known, and Rick is one of the kindest, happiest, and most loving guys—while also being a fierce protector.
One of my favorite memories of Rick (though he may not even remember it) happened after an Opti race on a summer evening. All the kids were coming into the LBYC pier and Opti ramp—it was pure chaos, as many of you can picture . Out of nowhere, a boat of intoxicated boaters came dangerously close and nearly clipped some of the kids. When I asked them to be careful, they became upset and confrontational. While I may be quick to voice an opinion, I knew I wasn’t the best one to handle the situation. Then Rick quietly stepped in beside me. Calm, steady, and protective of all the kids, he managed the moment beautifully and kept everyone safe. That’s just one of many examples of his natural instinct to look after those he loves.
I share this memory because, as many of you know, Rick has been fighting cancer for several years. He has shown incredible strength, but the road ahead has become even harder. He is scheduled for another surgery next week, though doctors fear the cancer may have spread further, limiting what can be done.
Meanwhile, Lindey has been enduring her own health battles with a spinal cord injury, surgery, kidney disease and a beast of an auto-immune disease over the past year—yet she somehow continues to show up with grace, positivity, and strength.
Hearing all of this, I know many of us feel the same overwhelming emotion: the need to protect this family we love so much. Just as Rick has always protected those around him, it is now our turn to surround the Neudorffs with that same fierce care.
Lindey’s positivity still shines through, but the weight this family is carrying is unimaginable. They are deeply grateful for every prayer, kind word, meal, and gesture of support. Please continue to keep them close in your hearts as they navigate this painful and uncertain journey.
Let us, as their friends and family, step in where we can—doing what is possible, when we cannot do the one thing we all wish we could.
~ With gratitude
