Nestor Emmanuel's Cochlear Implant

Hello Everyone,
My name is Jocelyne Hernandez, I am Nestor Emmanuel's auntie and I am in hope of raising money for my sweet little nephew's Cochlear Implant. On January 8, 2014 the doctor gave my brother and his beautiful wife the great news that they were expecting a baby. Four months later they were excited to know it would be a lovely little boy and that he was able to hear already. Mommy began to play Emmanuel Classical Music with belly Headphones all through her pregnancy. When she would talk to her baby, she thought it was surpricing that he did not move, but she just assumed that he was a very calm baby. Finally, on July 28, 2014 the most expected little human being was born. Everything was so normal, he was quiet, peaceful, and he slept a lot. His crying was a bit different, all babies are different, loving always, but he would not say any little words . After my sister-in-law got off work one day, a year and three months later, she found little Emmanuel playing so she called him by his name and he would not turn around. That is when she knew something was wrong so the next day she went to the doctor which gave him treatment, but to finalize it he sent her to another specialist, whom broke our hearts. He told my sister-in-law that unfortunately Emmanuel could not hear. He had a Bilateral severe or profound hearing impairment. This means that neither of his ears are capable of receiving any type of sound. After checking with many specialists, they finally came across a Doctor that gave them both good and bad news. The good news was that there was an operation for a Cochlear Implant. With this implant, the baby will be able to hear, not like us, but he will be able to receive some sounds, finally hear his name and how much everyone loves him. The bad news is that ONE single Cochlear Implant has an approximate cost of ( $400,000.00 ) four hundred thousand pesos PLUS surgery, giving an approximate total of ( $550,000.00 )five hundred fifty thousand pesos. In USD the total for everything would be about, $28,732.
Although he needs two, having one for now would impact his life and the life of all of us who deeply love him. We all dream that someday he will be able to hear birds chirping and wind blowing, but most importantly hear the "I love you's" from his parents and Grandparents.

Mi nombre es Jocelyne Hernandez, soy tia de Nestor Emmanuel y estoy con la esperanza de recaudar dinero para los Implantes Cocleares de mi dulce pequeño sobrino. El 8 de enero de 2014, el médico le dio a mi hermano y a su bella esposa la gran noticia que estaban esperando un bebé. Cuatro meses más tarde, ellos se emocionaron al saber que sería un pequeño y encantador Varoncito y que él ya era capaz de escuchar. Mamá empezó a tocar música clásica con audifonos que se ponia en la panza para que Emmanuel escuchara. Cuando iba a hablar a su bebé, ella noto que él no se movia, pero ella solo suponia que era un bebé muy tranquilo. Finalmente, el 28 de julio del 2014, el más esperado y pequeño ser humano nació. Todo era tan normal, era tranquilo, y dormía mucho. Su llanto era un poco diferente, todos los bebés son diferentes, siempre amoroso, pero él no empezaba a decir palabras . Después de llegar del trabajo, un año y tres meses más tarde, Mi cuñada encontró a Emmanuel jugando así que ella lo llamó por su nombre y él no volteo. Fue asi como ella sabía que algo estaba mal. Al día siguiente ella fue al médico, el le dio tratamiento, pero al finalizar la mandó a otro especialista, quien rompió nuestros corazones. Le dijo a mi cuñada, que lamentablemente Emmanuel no podía oír. Tenia Hipoacusia Bilateral Profunda, esto es que ninguno de sus oidos es capaz de recibir sonidos,Ningun tipo de sonidos. Después de comprobar con muchos especialistas, finalmente llegaron a través de un médico que les dio buenas y malas noticias. La buena noticia es que hay una operación para un implante coclear. Con este implante, el bebé será capaz de escuchar, no como nosotros, pero él será capaz de recibir algunos sonidos, finalmente escuchar su nombre y cuánto lo aman todos. La mala noticia es que un único implante coclear tiene un costo aproximado de ($400,000.00) cuatrocientos mil pesos más cirugía, dando un total aproximado de ($550,000.00)quinientos cincuenta mil pesos. En USD (Dolares) por todo el total sería de aproximadamente $28,732.
Aunque debe tener dos implantes, Uno solo tendría un impacto muy grande en su vida y tambien en la de todos nosotros quienes lo amamos. Sus Padres al igual que todos soñamos que algún día él será capaz de oír los gorjeos de los pájaros y el viento soplando, pero lo más importante es que el escuche los " TE AMO" de sus padres y abuelos.
