Nessa's Nesting Fund
Nescafe, or Nessa, was a beautiful Syrian hamster we owned at Strong Brew Hamstery from June 1, 2017 to November 11, 2017. Unfortunately, her life was cut short because of labour complications, and she passed away on her due date.
Nessa was so loved by us, and was certainly a special hamster. We want her memory to live on beyond just her short life, and we want her situation to help others.
While we are breeding responsibly, many pregnant female hamsters end up in shelters, rescues, and even pet stores. Many are too young and unequipped to deal with pups of their own. Nessa's Nesting Fund has been created in response to that.
This ongoing fundraiser will raise money for rescues, like The Pipsqueakery, Westchester Hamster Rescue, and many others, that have pregnant or nursing females. Litters are expensive, especially if medical complications arise.
In honour of Nessa's memory, we hope that this monetary gift will help rescues when these situations occur.
