Nerissa has recently be diagnosed with breast cancer. This is quite a shock to her and Robbie as well as the rest of the family. Instead of having a lumpectomy and risk it coming back she is making the brave decision to  a double Mastectomy. Every woman knows how important their breasts are to their identity, but in this situation saving her life is more important.
