Nepal Rescue Fund

Almost 15 years ago Ishwor, a sweet boy of 16 came to stay with us as an exchange student.  He was from the small village of Betrawati, Nepal.  Time has passed and he is a young married man now with an elementary school age son of his own.  He has worked hard to build a better life for his family.  His hard work and persistence allowed him to move to the capitol, Kathmandu, and live in a small apartment with indoor plumbing for the first time.  
Now he and many like him have had their lives turned upside down by the recent earthquake.  I have been very lucky and had contact with Ishwor.  He and his family have survived but their home is in ruins and they are living on the street along with their family and neighbors.
This GoFundMe is to raise money to help three ways.  A third of the money raised will go to Oxfam which is already on the ground in Nepal working to provide clean water and food to the Nepali people.  A third will go to the Rainbow Orphanage.  This home for orphans, run by a friends sister, is in ruins.   The last third will go to help my dear friend, Ishwor, rebuild his life and provide a home, food, and education for his son.
