Standing with the People of Nepal in a Time of Crisis

Nepal is facing a devastating emergency following severe floods and landslides that have caused widespread loss of life, displacement, and destruction across communities.

Families have lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and access to essential services. Many people remain vulnerable as communities work to recover, while rescuers, health workers, volunteers, and local leaders continue their courageous efforts to reach those affected.

At this difficult time, we are especially concerned about women, girls, mothers, and families whose health, safety, and dignity are at increased risk during an emergency.

Your Support Matters

In times of disaster, women and girls face particular challenges; and for families who have already lost their family members, homes or income, these needs can become urgent and overwhelming. Including limited access to:

• Essential healthcare and emergency medical support

• Menstrual hygiene products and sanitation

• Maternal and reproductive health services

• Safe accommodation and protection

• Food, clean water, and basic necessities

• Emotional and psycho-social support

Our Appeal

On behalf of the Asia Pacific Greens Federation (APGF) in partnership with the Nepali Local Organizations, we are reaching out to our wider community to help provide practical support to people affected by this crisis. Funds raised through this appeal will be directed, in coordination with trusted local partners and Nepali representatives, toward urgent needs such as:

A Shared Responsibility

The mountains, rivers, forests, and communities of our region are interconnected. So too are our responsibilities to one another. This is not only an environmental emergency. It is a matter of human dignity, social justice, community resilience, and the right of people to live safely and with hope for the future. From across the Asia-Pacific-Middle East Greens networks, we stand in solidarity with the people of Nepal, and all affected Women and Girls.

All funds will be received by APGF, sent directly to the Nepali Local Community based Organizations in coordination with Nepali Greens, and they will utilize the resources to provide for the physical health needs of affected Women and Girls.
