We, five Social Work students are being supported by Central Queensland University (CQU) and the New Colombo Plan (NCP) initiative to travel to Nepal at the end of September 2023. We will spend two weeks in Kathmandu and Pokhara visiting community health settings, community development organisations and women’s and children’s services.
We are kindly asking for donations that we can disperse amongst the organisations we visit as many rely on international donations to keep their services afloat. For example, donations will be provided to organisations such as the Nepal Youth Foundation which is a non-profit service that provides education, health, shelter and freedom to Nepali children. The Nepal Youth Foundation supports services such as Nutritional Rehabilitation Homes and Olgapuri Children’s Village.
Other services and organisations:
- Seven Women
- Lions Club
- Kathmandu University
- HIV care centre
- Tibetan Refugee Settlement
- Children of Nepal
We thank you in advance for your generosity,
Social Work Students – Central Queensland University
