Nepal Missional Professional Development Trip

Hi all! My name is Melina Ianniello and I am fundraising for a Missional/Professional Development trip to Nepal.

A little bit about me: I am currently a Master’s student at Liberty University receiving my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling! I am heading into my second semester and am so expectant of all the new skills and wisdom I will gain!

A little bit about the trip: The purpose of this trip is to gain experience working with counseling professionals in the field of trauma while enhancing my skills! We will be working with an anti-sex trafficking ministry.

On this trip, I would be coming alongside Professor and Counselor from Liberty University: Dr. Jeanne Brooks. She has been leading teams of students around the world working with NGOs that address the trauma of sex trafficking for 10 years. She had found that many of her colleagues had desired to go abroad but unsure how to become part of a ministry team that allowed one to truly use their skills to help in this ever growing problem.

This trip is not only mission-minded as we will share the love and healing-nature of Jesus through trauma counseling, but it is also professional-minded. I will be gaining important and needed counseling skills, and learning more about the nuances of trauma specific to sex-trafficking victims.

I would fly out March 6th and fly back in March 18th. I am need of approximately $4500!
