Those of you lucky enough to have visited Nepal will know how special it is.

On 26 August, sudden flash floods struck Nepal’s Rasuwa district after a surge of water entered the Bhote Koshi River. Over 4,000 people, including children, are missing, more than 1,000 lives have been lost, and entire communities have been devastated. Villages were swept away with almost no warning, leaving families displaced, homes destroyed and roads completely cut off.

One of the villages affected is my dad’s village in Dhading/Galchi. After years of slowly rebuilding from the 2015 earthquake, this flood has been another heartbreaking setback. Seeing the photos and hearing updates from family has been incredibly difficult.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to support those impacted. Part of the funds will go to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, which supports rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts across Nepal. The rest will go directly to families in Dhading/Galchi who urgently need help. I will be travelling to Nepal in a month and will personally deliver the support to ensure it reaches those most in need.
