Hello everyone,

I am a proud Nepali running a small cafe called BREW here in Folkestone, Kent. My heart is heavy right now as I watch my beautiful country suffer from devastating flash floods.

On 26 August 2026, a catastrophic flood swept through central Nepal,triggered by a glacial lake burst. In just 30 minutes, river waters rose up to 9 metres high, wiping away entire villages, roads, bridges, and livelihoods.

Hundreds have lost their lives, thousands are still missing, and families have been left with absolutely nothing!

no home, no food, no belongings.

As a Nepali living here in the UK, I feel helpless being so far away — but I want to do something. I want to stand with my people in this darkest hour.

I have teamed up with the Folkestone Nepalese Community to raise funds directly for the British Red Cross Nepal Floods Appeal.
