Hi my name is Sima Chhetri and I am a Nepalese Australian living in Sydney. I am connected to a lovely community in the Inner West, Sydney and my friends Melissah Mullen, Craig Waddell and I have rallied together to fundraise for the recent floods in Nepal. My Nepalese family goes well beyond my immediate family! I have had friends, relatives & many people from my broader Nepalese community here and home in Nepal who have been deeply affected and require our help! The news of many communities demolished, lives taken too soon, animals helplessly lost and the daunting task ahead of rebuilding communities feels overwhelming. With a heavy heart it is also the harsh reality that this environmental disaster has taken the lives of so many back here in Australia and across the Globe. Nepal is a country that is dependent on tourism and people come from all over the world to enjoy it's deep history, be immersed in it's wonderful rich culture but more importantly to explore its incredible diverse landscape. Nepal is a country that is dependent on tourism and the extent of this disaster is a global one. One cannot begin to express the pain of watching a disaster unfold from afar and so to be active we are uniting our community through this fundraiser.

The funds will be directed to Nepal Government Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund. Including the animal rescue organisation.
