This is my first fundraiser I have ever made and it would mean the world to me if the community I know and love can help. This is on behalf of my neighbor, Aaron Winders, and his rescue dog, Neo.

On January 27th, 2025, Aaron suffered a Widowmaker heart attack. Miraculously, and thanks to the surgeons and doctors at Tampa General Hospital, he has survived and is making strides every day. After 3 weeks in a coma on life support in the ICU, he now will have at least another month at a rehabilitation facility. That's not where this ends, unfortunately.

I have been taking care of his 4-year-old beloved husky, Neo. On Thursday, February 20th, at 10:07 pm, while in my care and out for his nightly potty, he was a victim of an act of violence by an individual from the neighborhood and was shot with a .22 revolver. Police were dispatched, and with it being our word against his, no arrests were made. Neo suffered a gunshot wound to the back of his neck that ricochet down and out his righr elbow.I got Neo to emergency surgery, and he is recovering. Unfortunately, he's been coughing, and the vets of the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Lakewood Ranch are worried about internal bleeding.

Aaron's completely drained financially after paying all his bills with the help of his family, and they are still piling up. NOW we need help for future expenses, including another surgery and medical procedures for Neo. I have been taking care of him all by myself, and now I cannot help financially anymore; I am drained as well.

Aaron is a Christian man who attends the church at The Source of Bradenton, where he is a part of the worship team and does welding for a living, which he will not be able to go back to. He will need 24/7 care. This is a plea to donate to help with not one crisis but TWO! I will have Neo for at least another month, and he has at least 2 vet appointments coming up. All proceeds will go to helping for the care of Neo with his vet bills and recovery, and whatever is left over will go to helping Aaron cover the medical bills piling up as well as living expenses.
