Nemo's Leg Amputation Surgery

Donation protected
We rescued Nemo in June of 2025 off Newport Road in Menifee, CA. He was about 6 weeks old at the time. We initially thought his paw was broken, but after X-rays, we found out he had no break or fracture. His paw was limp, and he would drag it around on the ground, so we figured it was a neurological problem he was born with. He had no sensation or feeling, and he could not control anything below his shoulder. Unfortunately, this paw kept getting infections from dragging it around and getting it stuck on things, so when the last infection got pretty bad, the veterinarians decided it was best to amputate.

We did not plan on taking in another cat, but we seemed to be the only ones trying to save Nemo and give him hope for a good life. Every clinic and rescue shelter we took him to was going to euthanize him. We took him under our wings, and could not be more happy with his recovery and progress.

Unfortunately, we ended up having a $2,200 vet bill for the amputation, and quite simply we need help covering it all. If you are able to donate, we will be so thankful for any amount. We understand times are tough, so if you are not able to donate currently, please just keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We are so thankful for all our friends and family who have supported us through this! ❤️
