Hello Friends and Family,
I hesitated to ask for help like this, but we really need it.
If you know me, you know how much I care about my sweet cat Nemo. Yesterday when I came home from work I realized he had thrown up a large rope like object. He continued to get sick and late last night I took him to the emergency vet hospital, where I found out he likely still had some of the rope in his system. He had an ultrasound this morning that confirmed a large amount of debris in his stomach.
I quickly had to decide if I would pay thousands of dollars to save his life, and of course I said yes. Nemo is currently under anesthesia being treated, and I am waiting on a phone call to hear how it went. The vet was not sure if he needs an endoscopy to remove the rope from his stomach or a surgery to remove the rope from his small intestine. The endoscopy will cost about $2,500, and the surgery will be close to $5,000.
The choice to save his life was easy, but it is going to be hard to come up with all of this money and continue to pay my regular bills. I have already cleared out my bank account to pay for IV fluids, medication, last night’s consultation, and the deposit for the procedure.
Please consider donating to help out Nemo and I, lock up your ropes, and give your pet an extra snuggle today!!
Liz
