Hi everyone,

I’m taking on something pretty huge in June 2026 and I wanted to share it with you. I will be challenging myself to cycle 500 miles in just 3 days solo, starting at Edinburgh Castle and finishing at Norwich Castle.

On top of the distance, the route includes around 19,000 feet of climbing — that’s well over half the height of Mount Everest — all squeezed into three long, hilly days. I’m excited, nervous, and already wondering what my legs have signed up for!

But this challenge is nothing compared with what some young people are forced to face. I’m doing this to raise money for Nelson’s Journey, a charity that supports bereaved children and young people in Norfolk. They help kids navigate grief, express their emotions, and begin to rebuild their confidence and happiness after losing someone they love. Their work is life-changing.

Why This Matters to Me

Grief is difficult for anyone, but for a child it can be overwhelming. The more I learned about the compassionate support Nelson’s Journey provides, the more determined I became to help. If pushing myself through this challenge can make even a small difference to a young person’s life, then every mile and every climb will be worth it.

A Promise for 2027

If we’re able to reach the fundraising goal and make this challenge a success, I’ll be back again in 2027—with an even bigger ride, more miles, more climbing, and an even greater mission to raise money for a good cause. Your support this year helps lay the foundation for something even bigger.
