Nelson (Nellie) Pereira life changing event

One of our local boys needs our help!  Nelson Periera (affectionately known to his friends as Nellie P) is a born and raised Ridgeway boy.  For those of you who have had the pleasure of knowing him, he has the biggest and kindest heart.  He has been a pillar in our community through his fundraising efforts for local charities; his participation on various volleyball, fastball and soccer teams as well as helping many patients through his business.  Nellie is a self employed massage therapist who serves his clients, friends and family at the Fort Erie Physiotherapy and Rehab Centre and the Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre in Niagara Falls.

Nellie is a well respected member of our community and has been fortunate to find love and happiness in his later years.  He is blessed with a loving wife Krista and 3 beautiful young children, Olivia, Oscar and Oaklee.   His family and friends mean the world to him.  Nellie has, and continues to be a huge support to all of us.  Now we are asking you with our hearts in our hands to help this amazing man as he fights Extraskeletal Myxoid Chondrosarcoma.  This type of cancer forms in the soft tissues outside the bone and is currently affecting Nellie's right leg.  He has been dealing 10 years now, 3 surgeries with radiation have not controlled the spread of this cancer and as a result Nellie will have to amputation of his right leg this Friday May 14.
