Nels Neumann Memorial Fund

I'm Nathan Neumann, Nels Neumann's brother. Please take a second to hear my brother's story and my plea.

On 21 September, at 8 PM Nels was involved in a tragic accident where someone went through a traffic light and ended his life. The plan is to ask Arlington National Cemetary in Washington D.C. to honor his life of service with an eternal place of national honor. Hopefully, the incoming Hurricane Ian does not interfere with these plans

Any donations will go towards his funeral expenses in Lynne Haven Florida, travel expenses to Washington D.C., and aiding in taking care of the girls he left behind. At the bottom are some of the news articles detailing the tragedy of the accident. At this time the police are still investigating the details of his death and in one of the supporting links, anyone who can call the police with information to process the horrible loss of life, the link to do so is in the second article.

This amazing father, son, and brother touched people everywhere he went. He was an Army Infantry veteran. He served on the All-Army marksmanship team and was invited to try out for the US Olympic Team. He went on to get his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Hawaii which lead him to create CPUs in Texas, design mine detection and neutralization equipment, and ariel anti-submarine detection systems, and Navy surface warfare, systems, and he worked for the Airforce overseeing the design of force protection and base development. His entire life was lived in service to his country.

Nels had an undying love for the pursuit of adventure and exploring the world. It was this passion that led to his love of boats and motorcycles. Nels started his motorcycle journey on a Harley Davidson Softail, and eventually, he added an Indian Chieftain. In sun, rain, and snow, across the US, Nels logged well over 200,000 miles of American asphalt earning his several titles in the Iron Butt Certifications.

Nels leaves behind three beautiful daughters, Amanda, Heather, and Hailey, and two sweet grandchildren, Mathias and Alyianna.
