Nelly Hazzard Vet Bills

Hi my name is Joanna, I have a beautiful little dog Nelly. She is a 2 year old Cairn Terrier, full of life and bounces. She was in our garden which is fully secured but managed to sneek out (still don't know how) where she was heartbreakingly run over by a car. The driver did NOT stop and drove off. Leaving my Nelly by the side of the road bleeding and in pain. She was rushed to the vets where it was found she had a dislocated hip and fractures. She had surgery on 8th April to fix the hip as it kept dislocating but the fractures were too small and had to then all be pinned. The surgery was meant to be a success and ensure her recovery and fractures heal. Unfortunately 5 days later Nelly was returned to the vets in alot pain where she was sedated again and xrayed again. One of the 3 pins placed into her hip had actually snapped. This pin was now travelling through Nelly and pushing onto her colon and other organs. Nelly now has to be rushed to an emergency orthopaedic surgeon which is over 100 miles away. The surgery needs to be paid upfront, any medication and of course travel costs and my husband will also need to stay in a hotel overnight and possibly time of work depending on how the surgery goes. Nelly is insured but this latest surgery is now maxing out her limit. We want to ensure Nelly can have all of the care she needs without hesitation. What was meant to be a very basic re setting of a hip has now turned into a nightmare that almost cost her life. We also don't know how much her rehabilitation will cost after the surgery. If she'll need longterm medication, if she'll be lame or if she'll need weeks or even months of rehabilitation.
