Nellie’s story

Nellie was a beautiful, happy, healthy baby girl. She was also feisty, awkward, headstrong and an absolute pain in the bum ❤️ but we love that about her, and always will.

On 24th June our beautiful baby girl lost a short battle with bacterial meningitis. 

From first showing symptoms on 20th June, she rapidly deteriorated and was placed into a medically induced coma, but had already sustained massive brain trauma from which she would not recover. We had to turn off her life support machine on 25th June. 

We would love for any donations received to be shared between all the charities involved in helping us through this huge loss, so we can help them to continue the amazing work they do. We would also like to sponsor a room at Magnolia House (Supported by the charity The Sick Children’s Trust) in Nellie’s name.

We have also been asked by a few people about doing sponsored events in support of Martin House. We would absolutely love for anyone to support these charities in Nellie’s memory and would appreciate any support in the form of sharing this fundraising page, the symptoms of meningitis, anything at all we would be so grateful for.
