Dear friends and community,

Our close friend Nicole and her brother Thomas have recently experienced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of their mother Nella. This unexpected tragedy has left them navigating not only deep grief but also an overwhelming amount of legal and logistical costs. As Nicole and Thomas begin to process the loss of their mom, they are now faced with a number of costly responsibilities and expenses that were never anticipated. These challenges are the last thing anyone should have to face while mourning a parent.

Nella lived an incredibly generous and selfless life. We have so many memories of her going out of her way to support us during times of great need at our summer camp. Her kindness, warmth, and willingness to help out- often behind the scenes volunteering in the camp kitchen- left a lasting impact on our hearts. Her children, Nicole and Thomas, are wonderful humans who have certainly inherited their mother’s kindness, compassion and generosity.

We would love to honour Nella and help ease some of Nicole and Thomas’ financial stress, allowing them the space and support they need to grieve and heal. Every donation will help in providing some relief during this incredibly difficult time.
