Nekane Strong

Friends and family,

On the evening of January 13, we received the devastating news that Nekane fell off of her roof impacting her head and causing severe skull fracture resulting in traumatic brain injury. She was immediately sent to St. Alphonsus and had severe bleeding and swelling in her brain. She is currently intubated and in a comatose state. It has been determined that she will need reconstructive surgery on her face due to many sinus fractures leading to cerebral fluid leakage. They will also be removing any remaining blood clots.

Our hearts feel completely shattered by this. Anyone that knows Nekane knows what a sweet, tender soul she has. She has blessed everybody in her life with nothing but love and kindness. We know that Nekane is so strong and will continue to fight. We humbly ask for help from our community to assist her and her family during this difficult time. While her future is unknown, the financial burden that medical emergencies bring can become incredibly stressful and we are hoping to alleviate some of that for her and her family. All donations will go towards Nekane's medical bills, future rehabilitation, and costs associated with her care as she will be in the hospital for a very long time.
