Hi everyone, my name is Daisy and I am fundraising for my dog Felix’s cancer treatment. On November 14th 2023, Felix had a seizure when I came home from work. I immediately took him to his normal vet and called the local specialist hospital to get an appointment with a neurologist. Due to the holidays, the first appointment available was not until mid January 2024. As we were waiting, Felix was averaging a seizure a week. Finally, we met with the local specialists and went through diagnostic imaging to figure out what was going on. Unfortunately, on January 16th 2024, Felix was diagnosed with a large primary brain tumor (choroid plexus tumor). It was definitely a shock to discover, as Felix did not and still does not act like a dog with a brain tumor. He is currently on anti-seizure medication and steroids for palliative care, which has helped him immensely. However, palliative care will not help fight the cancer.

Upon diagnosis, I learned the kind of tumor he has is very radiation sensitive through the help of radiation specialists at BluePearl and UF animal hospital. With that information, I have decided to proceed with radiation treatment for Felix to help get rid of the tumor at UF small animal hospital. Felix starts his treatment next week to help get rid of his cancer and help him live a better, happier, longer life.

Between diagnostics and the treatment, my savings I had for Felix has been exhausted and I am resorting to asking for any help. It would be extremely helpful to get any sort of donation and I appreciate it immensely. Regardless of how this fundraiser turns out, I will do anything for my little nugget Felix. I love him so much and I know he is not ready to go yet. He is still so playful, spunky, and aware, despite his condition.
