Stand with Chris's Family in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
I am writing this on behalf of our dear friends- Chris and Marie. It is hard to believe that it has been a little over a week since Chris was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis- an incredibly rare neurological condition that involves inflammation of the spinal cord. So rare, in fact, that the chances were only about 8 in 1 million. In the past week, Chris has been inpatient at two hospitals, has undergone dozens of tests and procedures, and has had to face so many unknowns with Marie, his wife, and their baby son Teddy. Chris is currently, more or less, paralyzed from the waist down. He can still feel but he has no use of his legs but is regaining some function in his arms and hands. Doctors are still trying to determine the cause. We do not know the outcome, and the family is taking it day by day.
Words from Marie: " We are staying as positive and hopeful as we can and we know that the Lord works all things for our good. We have faith in his plan for us, and Chris is determined to get better. He’ll be going to inpatient rehab tomorrow to try to work on regaining as much of his prior functioning as possible. We ask that you keep him and our family in your prayers as we go through this trial. "
We want Chris, Marie, and their family to be able to put all of their focus and energy on spending time together and healing during this time! Raising funds for medical bills, transportation back and forth for the family, food, equipment, and living expenses while Chris is unable to work is only scratching the surface, but every little bit goes to helping them focus on Chris. Our goal is to surround them as their friends, family, and community and help ease some of the burden.
If you are able, please consider donating to their family and praying for healing and restoration! Thank you in advance.
