Medical Funds for My Dad

Hi Everyone. I'm keeping the original description from "Missions Trip to the Philippines." However the fundraising has changed. My dad was admitted to a hospital in the Philippines with Dengue Fever. He will be there at least a week. They do not accept his insurance and needs to pay money out of pocket every day that he's there. Since he was supposed to be arriving home on March 5th, we do not have the funds to pay for his medical expenses. Please PLEASE help in any way you can. No donation is too small! Being in the hospital is not fun, and I couldn't imagine being over in another country by yourself. I can't stand that I'm not there with him, but if I can raise the money needed, I'll know that this weight will lift off his shoulders.

My dad went on a Missions Trip to the Philippines right after Typhoon Haiyan Yolanda. While he was there, my dad assessed the damages in preparation for future work Teams. After that trip, people were led to travel there to help rebuild homes, churches and schools, while some came for agriculture and other ways to help.

When he was in the Philippines, the Filipino population expressed their appreciation to my father for his love and concern for the people, but many had another concern. They said to him, "After a few months the world will forget us".

And to an extent, that has happened. So now my father will be going back to visit friends and again assess the current needs of the people. There are still tens of thousands of people without homes. It is his desire to visit the country for five-seven weeks, meet with families, Church leaders and Government officials to determine what kind of projects he might assist with.

Upon his return to the states he will recruit people to join him on other Work Team opportunities.

This is a five-seven week volunteer trip.

My dad needs help raising immediate funds to go. Will you please help?
