NEITHAN is our beloved 12 year old boy. He is been suffering from  SMA type 2(spinal muschular atrophy) since birth.  He have been taken care at home by his parents and nurses, he is been homebound schooled for the last two years due to his fragile health. Aside from SMA he also suffers from severe scoliosis for which he requires multiple surgeries for adjustment of the divice in his back as he grows. SMA is a degenerative progressive disease that affects the neuromuscular funtioning of the body and most affected are the respiratory and digestive system. Because of this fact Neithan have been hospitalized multiple times this year already, last two times in critical condition. This last time his dad saved his life by starting CPR when he stopped breathing. He have been on a ventilator since then and today they are flying him to Dallas Children Hospital  where the experts on SMA will take care of him. Last week his dad was hospitalized and diagnozed with a heart condition. Neithan's mom and dad have exhausted their sick, vacation and days provided by the family act program. Needless to say this hardship have place them in a dire financial situation adding to the stress of been the sole caregivers for their child plus two other children in the family. We simply don't know how are they going to be able to make it without been able to work while at the hospital and now the dad with a medical issue too. Neithan is a very smart child and he is fully aware of what is happening to him and his family, i have never witnessed  saddest eyes, yet he keeps on fighting, been sweet to those that care for him and as his teacher put it last night, to meet Neithan is to love Neithan. I never tought it will come to this but I know that there is plenty of you that will help and give my family a hand up. Continue to keep us all in your prayers, the struggle is real but so is God.
