Neil’s Dad In Crisis

Hi Friends and Family,
I come before you asking for help. For those of you that know me well, you know that this is not an easy task. But before I get into the current situation, I want to give you a little bit of the backstory.
At 17, my parents separated and divorced which led my dad to move from Redlands to Los Angeles. At that time, I didn't really have much contact with him and our relationship was pretty much non-existent. That is how things were for the past few decades.
Within the past few years, many things in my life changed including my relationship with my father. With God's help, I was able to let go of anger and resentment and replace it with grace and forgiveness.
Currently, my dad lives in Las Vegas with his stepdaughter, Debbie, after his beloved wife Linda passed a couple years ago.
Recently because of my Dad's financial situation, he ended up having to sell the house he shared with Linda. Everything he made from the sale of the house was put into his account that he was going to use to live off of.
In the meantime, one of Debbie's friends, Michael, moved in and said he was going to help out with my dad since he was recently diagnosed with kidney disease/failure, dementia and was overall not well. My dad seemed happy and he had somebody who was there for him while Debbie worked 3 jobs.
Lo and behold, no one expected what was about to happen.
Since Michael moved in over a year ago, he had gotten a hold of my dad's banking account information thus managing to drain his entire retirement, leaving my Dad with nothing. And not only did he steal all his money over the past 13 months, he also didn't pay the rent which led to him getting evicted yesterday.
I am completely devastated, angry and disgusted that another human being, that my father trusted, took such advantage of a 75 year old, sickly man.
Here I am today very broken and embarrassed, asking from the bottom of my heart to help me raise some money so he can live out, what time he has left, not stressing about daily expenses.
We do have the police involved and since this was a felony, we hope that once they find Michael, he receives the maximum sentence.
I understand this comes at a very hard time since it's around the holidays and if you cannot financially help, it's okay.....I then ask, will you please pray for my Dad and the horrific stress this has put on his life/health/mental well-being and that justice will be served?
Thank you so much for your time. May God watch over you all and may each one of you be blessed in 2023 ❤️
