Hi my name is Neil. I was recently diagnosed with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It is a terminal disease with no cure. Currently I am not working and eventually will have to terminate my employment with HANNAFORD supermarkets in Niskayuna. I have been there for close to 25 years. I have always been a hard worker and loving father. I was taught to keep pushing until you can’t push no more. So of course with ALS it has caused me to slow down more than I’m used to. I am currently in the works of getting SSD. But unfortunately my pay will not be the same. I currently take care of my own and my kids medical bills, along with other monthly bills. I am looking to raise money to pay any bills that may come my way, but mostly medical. I am one who never asks for help, but willing to always help others. So doing a gofundme is very hard for me to do. But I don’t want to put any extra burden on family who is already going above and beyond helping me day to day. I know times are tough and only ask to donate what you can. If you can’t donate I totally understand. All I ask is you share this gofundme on you social media.
